Styles are a feature that can be selected from the Preferences menu that allows you to alter the look and feel of your CMD FMX (either Windows or Mac versions).

A number of the styles are dark in color, some are light, some have very bright colors for the various elements that you see on your monitor when working with CMD.

You may wish to try each of them to see which is best for your eyes and monitor. Your selection will be saved and will still be there the next time you enter CMD.

One note - if the header bar of your CMD screen does not appear normal after you make a change, just exit CMD and then re-enter it and it should clear that up for you. If it doesn't please let us know. Generally this seems to happen most often when you are going to Diamond from some of the other styles.
