Delete Family Pictures

The Delete Family Pictures option on the Utilities Menu provides a way to quickly delete the pictures currently assigned to one or more families in your file. This utility also allows you to remove pictures from all families in one operation.

If you wish to delete pictures from individuals, use the Delete Individual Pictures option on the Utilities Menu instead.

When this dialog first appears, the list of families in your CMD data file is filtered to display only those families who have a picture defined for them.To remove a picture, find and highlight the name from whom the picture is to be deleted. The currently assigned picture will appear in the picture box as a confirmation.

Click the Delete This Picture button and the CMD's link to the picture will be removed from the data file. Find and remove other family pictures as needed.

If you wish to delete all pictures from every family in your file, click the Delete All Family Pictures button.

Special Note

What has been deleted is the link to the pictures, not the pictures themselves. That means that any pictures that you delete here are invisible to CMD. The actual pictures themselves are still on your hard drive in the folder that you have chosen for your CMD pictures. You will need to delete them manually in Windows Explorer to remove them from you hard drive.
