Date Minder

The Date Minder dialog, accessible when you select Date Minder on the Tools Menu, shows you in list form the names whose birth, anniversary, baptism, etc, falls within a specified date range from today’s date.

You can set the date range for each date separately if you wish along with the Default Date (the one that appears first when you access the Date Minder dialog) using the Date Minder Preferences dialog selected either on the Preferences Menu or right from here by clicking the Date Minder Preferences button.

You can change any of the parameters you wish on Date Minder as needed. For example, you can quickly alter the starting and ending days as needed. Note that you cannot extend beyond the current month, however.

But you can change the date to view, the month, and the starting and ending days as needed. Once you make a change in any of the parameters, click the Refresh View button to update the list. There’s a calendar there in case you need it for reference to refine your day range selection.

Printing a List

Later versions of CMD may have facilities to print a simple name, date, and phone list, labels, envelopes, or mail-merge list. These printing controls behave similarly to print features in other parts of CMD.

Note that you can set this Date Minders dialog to be the startup function so that you can see the list of names with their birth or other dates listed for you on startup.
