Worship Events tab page (Worship Planner)

The Worship Planner dialog, available when you select the Worship Planner item on the Tools Menu , allows you to define worship events, the elements that will go into the event, and the groups or individuals who will be leading in the worship event.

Once the information has been entered, you can print worship flow sheets which provide the participants with more information than is found in a bulletin or other printed program, personnel sheets, and more.

The first step is to enter some basic information about the worship event itself. This is done on the Worship Events tab page of the Worship Plamnner dialog.

To add a new event, click the + button on the navigation bar in the upper right corner of the events grid. When you add a new event, a line will be opened up somewhere in the grid. Here are the fields you may enter at this point:

Event Name. Use this field to enter the name of the worship event. For your convenience, CMD will remember the names of various worship events that you have entered in the past so that you can select them from a drop-down list if desired when entering this field.

Event Date. Click the icon when in this field to select the date from a pop-up calendar.

Event Time. Use this field to enter the time the event will start. The edit box will provide the colon between hours and minutes for you.

Location. While most of your events will likely be in the same one or two locations, this field is provided for those times when the event will be held in other places. CMD will remember prior locations for you so that you can select common ones from the drop-down list.

Theme. Use this field to enter a brief general description of the event, or possible a title such as a sermon title.

Comments/Evaluation. There is a large block area below the grid that you can click into when you wish to type in evaluation or comments information about the currently selected worship service.

Once you have entered basic information about a worship service, you can begin to enter specific information about elements and participants.

Clear Histories

If you wish to clear the list of past entries for Event Name or Location, click the Clear Histories button in the lower left corner of the dialog. Select the history that you wish to clear.

Grid Columns Adjustment

You may resize the columns as necessary to look right on your computer. The program will remember your settings when you return the next time.

In a general sequence for defining a worship service, you'd proceed next to the Groups tab page.
