The Deleted Names file holds some basic information about any names that are deleted from within CMD starting with CMD 2011.1 and onward.

This file is not the same as the Archive File, which is designed to hold information about past members. The Deleted Names file, in contrast, records a little bit about every name deleted from your file whether or not they were members when deleted.

Its primary purpose is to provide a means for reconnecting contributions data to deleted names so that a statement can be printed in those cases where a name was deleted from your CMD data file before you were able to print such a statement.
