PDF Output

CMD can produce Adobe Acrobat PDF output from either Print Names or from the Worship Planner's Print page.

To generate a PDF file, follow these steps:

Select the group of names to be printed as you normally do

Set the appropriate parameters on the Print Control page

Set the Destination to Screen

Click Begin Printing

Once the report is visible on the screen, click the Preview Screen’s File Menu and select Save As

When the Save File dialog appears, open the Save As Type combo box in the bottom center of the dialog and select Adobe Acrobat (PDF) as the file type

Enter a file name and navigate to the appropriate folder to hold the file using the navigation tools on the Save File dialog

Click Save and what you see on the screen will be printed in a PDF file.

Pictures in PDF Files

Exporting a report from within CMD to a PDF document using the above process does not export pictures that are included with the form such as the pictorial directory or child registry page. That is beyond the scope of CMD's PDF capabilities.

However, if you purchase the commercial version of Adobe Acrobat, you can then select Acrobat as the Printer Type on your printer setup dialog, including those accessible in CMD. If you select Acrobat as the printer on the Printer Select dialog, any pictures that are part of a document will be included in any PDF's you create in this way.
